This will be my sixteenth year of teaching.  I taught for six years (1 in Portsmouth, Va.-3rd grade, and 5 at A.G. Richardson-3 years in 4th, 5th, & 6th grade Math, and 2 years in 6th grade).  I was fortunate enough to then spend seven years at home with our children.  After seven wonderful years teaching 2nd grade, and 2 excellent years at fourth grade, I decided to move to an even higher grade and am excited to now teach English to 6th graders for the first time in a middle school setting.  We have 3 children.  Our oldest daughter is a sophomore following in her parents footsteps at Virginia Tech.  Our son, a recent graduate of Culpeper High School, is joining the workforce and hoping to become a firefighter following in his dad’s footsteps.  Our youngest daughter is a sophomore at Culpeper County High School!  Teaching is a rewarding job for me and I try to make learning rewarding for my students.  I look forward to sharing a successful year with you.
